About the system
AWP-IŁ System for tests of technical quality of a telecommunications network is intended to evaluate service efficiency and effectiveness of calls and network diagnostics on all its levels.
AWP-IŁ System enables an objective, independent from switching devices and telephone network service performance, test of technical efficiency and assessment of quality of network performance and quality of services provided by such network from subscriber's point of view. Such assessment is based on results of measurements collected by autonomous testing devices (PM2 and PM3 probes, hereinafter referred to as probes) attached to selected exchanges in the network. Probes initiate calls between each other in accordance with a scheduled program of tests and then effect measurements of parameters of such calls. After a communication unit receives results of measurements they are placed in a database and processed using a special software, presenting respective information to users in a graphical or tabular form.
The system has a modular and scalable nature, therefore there is a possibility of its upgrade and easy adjustment to changing user needs and requirements.
Test traffic generated by probes may be set up in such a way that it does not significantly affect the regular network traffic. In order to do so, it is necessary to have information on actual network traffic obtained from other systems.
Authorized users may gain access to results collected in the system using terminals connected through a corporate network.
Hardware and software solutions applied in the system comply with modern technological standards and state-of-the-art telecommunications and information technologies.
The system is scalable and may cover up to 5000 probes.
