CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
The National Institute of Telecommunications in Warsaw together with
the University of Aveiro, and the
IEEE/LEOS Poland Chapter
are pleased to announce the 11th International
Conference on Transparent Optical Networks ICTON 2009 which will be kindly
hosted by University of Azores,
City of Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island, June 28 - July 2, 2009.
ICTON 2009 is receiving technical co-sponsorship by the
IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society.
São Miguel
Island, known as "The Green Island", is the largest and most populated
island of the Azores.
The Ponta
Delgada Airport receives daily flights from Lisbon and has direct weekly
flights to major European and American cities.
The scope of the Conference is concentrated on the applications
of transparent and all-optical technologies in broadband telecommunication
networks, systems, and components, and includes:

Authors are cordially invited to submit the
contributions
(max. of 4 pages in electronic form, MS Word accompanied by a PDF version)
for Regular and Poster Sessions to
icton@itl.waw.pl by April 15, 2009.
The authors will be notified on the acceptance by May 5, 2009.
Post-deadline papers with very recent results are requested
by June 2, 2009.
Ambitious technical and social programs and friendly relations are traditional
ICTON goals. We are looking forward to the pleasure of welcoming you once
again, this time in Azores in June 2009!
